1月2日讯利物浦名宿丹尼-墨菲在其《每日邮报》专栏中表示，阿莫林现在在曼联的战术纯属自杀。

墨菲写道：“大多数比赛的胜负都由中场决定，主教练已经把这一点深深刻入球员脑海中，直到现在仍是如此。”

“如果球员能力不足或者得不到援助，很少球队会让2个中场去对抗对面3个中场。所以周一晚看到阿莫林让曼联这样去应对运动能力如此出色的纽卡斯尔，我觉得匪夷所思。”

“我当时就在老特拉福德，开赛几分钟我就能看出端倪，等到阿莫林做出反应时，他们已经0-2落后，比赛已经结束了。”

“这是自杀式的行为，除非阿莫林改变战术体系或者换掉球员，否则曼联的表现和成绩不会有所改变，这一点尤为令人担心，因为曼联现在已经跌落到第14位。”
